FUSE Varsity Student Policy

Guidelines to ensure a productive and effective learning experience

As a FUSE Scholar, you are expected to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth and productive learning experience:

1. Attendance & Participation

  • Active participation in all bootcamp activities is required.
  • Missing more than 3 classes without prior 24 hours notice may affect your learning progress and eligibility for certification.

2. Certification Requirement

  • To obtain a Certificate of Completion, you must achieve a passing grade of at least 60% in assessments, attendance, and project evaluations.
  • This ensures that all certified students have demonstrated a basic level of competence and understanding in their respective fields.

3. Payment & Course Commitment

  • Once you have paid and started classes in a particular stack, switching to another stack is not allowed.
  • This policy is in place to maintain class structure, ensure fair resource allocation, and prevent disruptions in learning progress. Choose your preferred course carefully before making payment.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Students are expected to maintain respectful and professional communication with instructors and peers.
  • Disruptive behavior, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated and may lead to removal from the bootcamp.
  • Constructive feedback is encouraged, but criticism should always be respectful and solution-oriented.

5. Confidentiality & Resource Sharing

  • All materials, including class recordings, PDFs, slides, and other resources, are strictly for personal use.
  • Do not share any bootcamp materials with non-FUSE students or on public platforms. Violations will lead to immediate dismissal from the program.

6. Assignment & AI Usage

  • All assignments must be completed individually and originally.
  • While AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) can be used for research or brainstorming, students must not rely on them to generate or complete their assignments.
  • Plagiarized or AI-generated work will result in automatic disqualification from the said assignment it was used for.

7. Deadlines & Assignments

  • Timely submission of assignments and projects is expected. Late submissions may result in penalties or disqualification from assessments.
  • Meeting deadlines prepares you for real-world professional expectations.

8. Capstone Project Eligibility

  • To participate in the Capstone Project, students must: attend at least 50% of classes, complete all major assignments and actively engage in class activities.
  • Students who fail to meet these criteria will not be considered active participants and will be excluded from the final project.

9. Communication & Support

  • All official communication will be sent via email or the designated class platform.
  • Students are encouraged to reach out for support, clarification, or concerns via fusevarsity@gmail.com
  • Any technical issues preventing participation should be reported immediately.

10. Feedback & Continuous Improvement

  • We value student feedback to improve the learning experience. Constructive feedback should be shared through the appropriate channels.
  • Likewise, students must be open to receiving feedback on their work and using it to improve.

Kindly note that by enrolling in this bootcamp, you agree to abide by the above policies.
